These events are not focused on winning and losing, but on developing game play skills.
Level 1: Players will learn where to stand in doubles and singles. Learn the rules, keep score and model good sportsmanship.
Since there are different levels within a level, players will be paired with those of like ability levels.
Level 2: Players are expected to know the basics like serving, scoring, and how to rally.
They will learn how to return the ball to a partner while focusing on character and sportsmanship.
PRO APPROVAL needed. The level 2 will also play against some HS Developing players.
There will be a warm-up and then 15 - 20 minutes of match play per round.
Open to 6th - 8th graders
5th graders who are in middle school may also sign-up.
Class includes:
• 90-minute class with USPTA professional and assistants
• Free loaner racquet use during class
• Min. enrollment is 8
• Cost: $18 per match play
